    Advent Talent Group is seeking an Employee Benefits Specialist in Minneapolis, MN. This role supports an organization during a transition period within its Total Rewards function, ensuring continuity and stability in U.S. benefits and Leave of Absence administration. The position focuses on day‑to‑day benefits operations, LOA coordination, and vendor management across multiple states, serving as a key point of contact for employees, payroll, and external partners.

    Overview:
    Location: Minneapolis, MN (Hybrid)
    Type: Contract until the end of the year
    Pay Rate: $40-45/hour
    Hours: Full-time

    Responsibilities

    • Administer U.S. health and welfare benefit programs, including medical, dental, vision, life, disability, and voluntary benefits.
    • Manage employee benefit eligibility, enrollments, life event changes, and terminations in compliance with plan rules and regulations.
    • Serve as the primary operational contact for benefits vendors, carriers, and external brokers to resolve day‑to‑day issues.
    • Support employees with benefit inquiries, enrollment guidance, and claims navigation to ensure a positive experience.
    • Reconcile benefits eligibility files, carrier data feeds, and monthly billing; resolve discrepancies with HRIS and payroll partners.
    • Coordinate Leave of Absence (LOA) and Workers’ Compensation cases with third‑party administrators.
    • Ensure accurate alignment between leave status, benefits continuation, and payroll deductions.
    • Improve consistency and clarity of LOA communications for employees and managers.


    Qualifications

    • 8–10+ years of experience in U.S. benefits administration or total rewards operations.
    • Strong knowledge of U.S. health & welfare benefits, retirement plans, and leave management practices.
    • Hands‑on experience working with benefits brokers, carriers, and third‑party administrators.
    • Proficiency using HRIS and benefits administration systems to manage eligibility and enrollments.
    • Advanced Excel skills for reconciliation, auditing, and reporting.
    • Experience partnering closely with payroll teams to ensure accurate deductions and contributions.
    • Ability to manage multiple priorities, deadlines, and stakeholders in a fast‑paced environment.
    • Strong communication skills with a service‑oriented, detail‑driven mindset.

    esponsibilities

    • Lead all HR operations, serving as the primary resource for employee relations, policy guidance, compliance, benefits, and HR best practices
    • Oversee HRIS administration, personnel records, audits, and process improvements to ensure accuracy, compliance, and positive employee experience
    • Partner with organizational leaders to implement HR policies, manage change, and align people practices with organizational priorities
    • Guide equitable recruitment, hiring, and onboarding practices in collaboration with managers and the HR Coordinator
    • Develop and refine talent acquisition strategies to support workforce planning and long-term organizational needs
    • Administer performance management processes, including review cycles, goal setting, and professional development support

    Qualifications

    • 4+ of progressively responsible experience in human resources, with exposure across the full employee lifecycle
    • Human resources experience in a nonprofit environment preferred
    • At least two years of experience supervising, coaching, or mentoring staff
    • Strong working knowledge of core HR functions, including onboarding, compliance, employee relations, and policy development
    • Experience administering an HRIS and using systems to improve efficiency and data accuracy (BambooHR experience preferred)
    • Excellent organizational, analytical, and problem-solving skills, with the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment
    • Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to provide clear, thoughtful guidance to staff and leadership
    • High degree of professionalism, judgment, and discretion, with a demonstrated ability to maintain confidentiality
    • Demonstrated intercultural competency and ability to work effectively across diverse backgrounds and perspectives

  • Senior Accounts Payable Specialist

    Advent Talent Group is partnering with a locally based luxury home and body fragrance company in Minneapolis, MN to hire a Senior Accounts Payable Specialist. This is an exciting opportunity to step into a visible, trusted role where you’ll own the core accounts payable function and play a key part in keeping financial operations running smoothly.

    Contract – 1 Month
    Location: Minneapolis – Hybrid
    Pay Rate: $26–$28 per hour

    Responsibilities

    • Process and post vendor invoices end-to-end, ensuring accurate documentation, approvals, GL coding, and timely entry using the AP processing system and ERP
    • Resolve invoice discrepancies and 3-way match variances by partnering with procurement, receiving, warehouse, and vendors to address pricing, quantity, and receipt issues
    • Execute weekly payment runs (check, ACH, and online payments), including freight bill payments and follow-up on payment status
    • Manage vendor records and compliance documentation, including vendor setup and maintenance, W-9 collection, Certificate of Insurance tracking, and annual 1099 preparation
    • Support month-end and year-end close activities, including AP aging reviews, vouchers payable and subledger-to-GL reconciliations, variance research, and audit support
    • Serve as a subject matter expert for Accounts Payable, providing guidance on AP processes, resolving complex issues, and supporting internal stakeholders and vendors


    Qualifications

    • 3-5+ years of experience of hands-on Accounts Payable experience
    • Strong working knowledge of accounting principles related to accounts payable, accruals, and general ledger activity
    • High attention to detail and accuracy, with a demonstrated ability to manage deadlines in a fast‑paced, high‑volume environment
    • Proficiency with ERP systems and AP automation tools, with the ability to quickly learn new systems and workflows
    • Effective communication skills, including professional and responsive interaction with vendors and internal stakeholders at all levels
    • Advanced organizational and problem-solving skills, with the ability to independently research and resolve discrepancies and variances
    • Proficient Excel skills, including filters, lookups, and basic reconciliations to support reporting and close activities
