Overview & Perks
- Full-time – Contract-to-hire
- Compensation: $23.50/hr. + shift differentials
- Ability to work overnight and on weekends!
- Remote role open for Minnesota applicants only!
- Flexibility and comfort of working from home, with supportive supervision.
Responsibilities Include:
- Deliver compassionate crisis counseling and emotional support to callers, employing specialized intervention techniques with empathy and sensitivity.
- Conduct comprehensive assessments of caller suicide risk and respond appropriately
- Maintain precise documentation of interactions in the database to ensure comprehensive reporting.
- Collaborate with callers to develop tailored safety plans and coping strategies.
- Manage incoming and outgoing calls efficiently using a multi-line phone system.
- Promptly request emergency services when needed to ensure caller safety!
- Bachelor’s degree in social work, psychology, or related field preferred; or 2+ years of experience in community services or programs.
- Proficient in mental health, crisis intervention, and professional phone etiquette
- Knowledgeable in mental health terminology and assessment.
- Capable of managing crises calmly and establishing rapport efficiently.
- Committed to maintaining privacy and adhering to HIPAA compliance standards
- Bilingual fluency in Spanish, Hmong, or Somali is a plus!
