Job Description

As the Senior Finance Manager for a non-profit in the Western Suburbs of the Twin Cities, you will manage QuickBooks, oversee budgeting, forecasting, and financial planning, provide strategic financial advice, maintain financial policies, handle contract negotiations, and conduct high-level financial analysis. This 3–4-month contract role offers $50-$60/hr. with full-time hours and a hybrid schedule of 3 days on site.

Responsibilities:
  • QuickBooks Setup & Management: Set up and manage QuickBooks for accurate and efficient financial tracking, ensuring all financial transactions are recorded accurately and generating financial reports and statements as needed.
  • Financial Leadership: Oversee all financial operations, including budgeting, forecasting, and financial planning. Provide strategic financial advice to the leadership team and ensure compliance with financial policies and regulations.
  • Policy & Procedure Development: Develop, implement, and maintain financial policies and procedures, aligning financial practices with organizational goals and regulatory requirements.
  • High-Level Financial Analysis: Conduct detailed financial analysis to support decision-making processes, identify and mitigate financial risks, and provide insights into financial performance and opportunities for improvement.

Qualifications:
  • Senior Finance Leadership Experience: Demonstrated experience as a senior finance leader within a nonprofit setting.
  • Advanced QuickBooks Proficiency: Advanced proficiency in QuickBooks with a comprehensive understanding of financial policies, procedures, and regulatory compliance.
  • Analytical & Strategic Thinking: Strong analytical and strategic thinking skills, with the ability to translate financial data into actionable insights and recommendations for executive decision-making.
  • Communication & Professionalism: Outstanding communication and interpersonal skills, coupled with a high level of integrity and professionalism.
