About the Job
The Operations Manager is responsible for preparing warehouses for distribution and managing day-today operations to ensure a safe and smooth-running environment. This on-site role will involve travel to six warehouses around the Twin Cities, as well as Rochester and Mankato. Responsibilities include:
  • Supporting management staff in supervising temporary warehouse employees and volunteers
  • Assisting in training and onboarding, and updating existing resources
  • Observing operations on-site to ensure expectations and deliveries are being met, acting as a main point-of-contact between warehouse staff and other teams
  • Communicating daily with warehouse managers, supporting them in daily procedures and keeping them updated with any changes
  • Coordinating shifts and schedules and reviewing timesheets to ensure proper documentation
  • Monitor warehouse staffing levels, including volunteers, and communicating with staffing agencies as needed
  • Assist in tracking supply levels and inventory, and coordinating deliveries at warehouses
  • Collaborate with IT and Properties teams on efficient site-specific workflows.
  • Travel to all six of the organization' s warehouses across the Twin Cities metro area, Rochester and Mankato to ensure processes are being followed

About You
Qualifications include:
A College degree or 3 - 5 years relevant management experience
  • Driver' s license and reliable transportation to work (Company vehicle will be available for travel)
  • Successfully pass a background check
  • Strong Microsoft skills, including Excel, Word and Outlook, as well as the ability to use inventory management software
  • Ability to work well under pressure
  • Available to work on weekend mornings and weekday evenings.
  • Detail-oriented with excellent communication and problem-solving skills
  • Experience coaching, training and supervising staff, including providing immediate feedback in the field or over the phone
  • Able to lift up to 50 lbs. and perform the necessarily physical labor
