Job Description
Advent Talent Group is looking for a contract Graphic Designer and Photographer to join a nonprofit client's mission-driven marketing team. This opportunity will have you translating impactful social change narratives into compelling visuals for workplace campaigns, newsletters, event branding, and community awareness programs. You'll play a key role in creating innovative designs that unite changemakers and advocate for social good.
Overview:
- Contract role – 6+ months
- Full-time (32+ hours per week)
- Hybrid in Minneapolis, MN
- $40.00 – 50.00/hr.
Responsibilities:
Creative Development & Design-
- Champion the brand through innovative design concepts
- Develop original branded design for print, digital, and social media materials
- Create breakthrough campaign creatives for diverse audience engagement
- Translate client needs into creative solutions that align with brand guidelines
- Manage internal design projects independently and collaboratively
- Execute creative direction for brand visual style across multiple platforms
- Curate and conduct photoshoots for social media, print, and digital use
- Capture event photography and generate creative content
- Perform photo manipulation, editing, and metadata optimization
- Collaborate on video b-roll production
- Monitor vendor projects and ensure comprehensive production
- Manage project deadlines using Monday.com
- Communicate effectively across marketing teams
- Support organizational diversity and inclusion initiatives
- Demonstrate resilience with changing timelines and deliverables
- Stay current with design, digital engagement, and software trends
- Provide recommendations to Senior Designer and Brand Manager
Qualifications:
- 4+ years relevant design experience or bachelor’s degree in design/visual communication
- Expert proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite (InDesign, Illustrator, Photoshop, Lightroom)
- Proven experience working with diverse populations
- Strong portfolio demonstrating creative design and photography skills
- Exceptional communication and project management abilities
- Agile mindset with ability to manage multiple priorities
- Deep understanding of design principles and current marketing trends
