Responsibilities Include:
 
  • Administering 401(k), profit sharing, health and welfare benefits plans, coordinating with 3rd party vendors on employee enrollment and distributions and managing compliance
  • Organizing open enrollment and employee education meetings, managing enrollment and coordinating with external partners
  • Managing 3rd party vendors for various functions, including COBRA, Cafeteria flex plans and HSA accounts
  • Promoting employee education on benefits plans and ensuring notices are sent on time
  • Running and compiling reports and audits on all benefits, ensuring compliance with policies and regulations and reconciling invoices
  • Overseeing employee leaves of absence, including ADA, FMLA, disability, family leave and workers compensation claims
  • Managing all recruitment activities in collaboration with hiring managers, including job postings, interviews, hiring and onboarding
  • Coordinating the performance review process, providing data for total compensation statements and ensuring deadlines for completion are met
  • Managing employee relations and support, including conflict resolution, providing training and support, answering employee questions and assisting in internal events
  • Ensuring proper documentation and compliance with state and federal regulations, including managing OSHA logs and responding to unemployment claims
  • Acting as backup payroll when needed
  • Keeping up with changes in labor laws and making recommendations to improve HR processes, employee relations and benefits administration
 
Qualifications Include:
  • 4+ years of experience in related HR Generalist duties, including experience with benefits administration and recruiting
  • Demonstrated knowledge of employment law
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills, as well as good listening skills
  • Ability to resolve conflicts and interface with people at all levels of the organization
  • Excellent attention to detail and work ethic
  • Flexible and adaptable with strong multitasking and prioritization skills and the ability to work under pressure
  • Great problem solving and critical thinking skills, as well as analytical abilities
  • Proactive and team-player mentality and the ability to continually improve HR processes
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office, including Excel
  • PHR or SPHR certification preferred
  • Payroll experience a plus
  • Knowledge of ADP software a plus
