Job Description
The Human Resources Generalist is responsible for overseeing all HR-related activities within the organization, ensuring that the organization's culture, compliance, and operational excellence are maintained. This role requires collaboration with leadership, advisory committees, directors, and external consultants to effectively manage HR administration, employee experience, orientation, onboarding, recruiting, and termination processes.
Overview:
Part-time (20 hours)
Compensation: $30/hr.
Contract-to-hire
On-site – Minneapolis, MN
Responsibilities:
- Manage full employee lifecycle processes including recruitment, onboarding, performance management, and offboarding
- Administer payroll, benefits, and leave programs in compliance with policies and regulations
- Maintain accurate employee records and data in HRIS system
- Coordinate training programs and professional development opportunities
- Support employee relations through conflict resolution, policy advisement, and employee engagement initiatives
- Assist with special HR projects and reporting as needed
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources Management, Business Administration, or a related field; additional HR certifications (e.g., SHRM-CP, PHR) are preferred.
- Extensive experience managing the full employee lifecycle, including recruitment, onboarding, performance management, and offboarding processes.
- Proficient in HRIS systems, with advanced knowledge of Gusto for payroll administration and benefits management, ensuring compliance with organizational policies and regulatory requirements.
- Skilled in maintaining accurate and confidential employee records and data using HR Information Systems (HRIS).
- Proven ability to coordinate training programs and professional development opportunities, fostering staff growth and retention.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills, adept at conflict resolution, policy advisement, and promoting employee engagement initiatives while ensuring compliance with HR policies and legal requirements.
