Part-time (20 hours) - Flexible schedule!
Minneapolis – Hybrid
Responsibilities:
- Lead graphic design projects for external clients encompassing branding, illustrations, digital communications, and print materials, ensuring adherence to client briefs and high-quality deliverables.
- Manage project scopes, timelines, client relationships, and project documentation with a focus on clear communication and stakeholder satisfaction throughout the project lifecycle.
- Produce merchandise and materials while rigorously maintaining brand standards to uphold brand identity and consistency across all collateral.
- Develop and implement a comprehensive graphic design curriculum integrating design theory, principles, and industry-standard tools to foster apprentices' creative growth and proficiency.
- Teach engaging sessions and facilitate collaborative learning environments for apprentices, nurturing their design skills and professional development.
- Recruit new apprentices by actively engaging with schools, hosting open houses, and fostering partnerships to attract diverse and talented candidates for the program.
Qualifications:
- Minimum 2 years as a graphic designer (in-house, agency, freelance) with a bachelor's degree in graphic design or a related field.
- Expertise in Adobe Creative Suite (Illustrator, Photoshop, InDesign), Procreate, and strong knowledge of graphic design principles, concepts, and industry trends.
- Experienced in leading diverse graphic design projects, including branding, illustrations, digital communications, and print materials. Strong portfolio showcasing creativity and technical proficiency.
- Excellent client communication and project management skills, ensuring effective interactions with clients and team members.
- Enthusiasm for teaching and mentoring, with experience in developing graphic design curricula and facilitating collaborative learning for apprentices.
- Skilled in budget management, equipment and facility resources, classroom organization, recruitment, performance management, reviews, timecard approval, and documenting apprentice progress in design labs or educational settings.
