Location: On-site in Rogers, Minnesota
Employment Type: Full-Time, Direct Hire
Compensation: Competitive salary range of $74,000 – $115,000
Travel: 25% travel
A leading manufacturer of fluid and material handling equipment is seeking a strategic and results-driven Category Marketing Manager to lead high-impact marketing initiatives. This pivotal role is responsible for shaping the long-term vision, driving product adoption, and executing go-to-market strategies that align with global business objectives. Responsibilities
Strategic Planning & Execution
- Develop and maintain a comprehensive 5-year category roadmap aligned with organizational strategies
- Conduct extensive market research and Voice of Customer (VOC) studies to uncover customer needs and growth opportunities
- Create and implement global marketing strategies with clear, measurable KPIs
- Identify and prioritize high-value customer segments for maximum impact
- Present strategic recommendations and business cases to senior leadership
- Define and manage comprehensive product brand identity for category products
- Lead global product launch strategies and ensure flawless execution
- Craft compelling value propositions and messaging frameworks that resonate with target markets
- Collaborate on thought leadership initiatives, integrated campaigns, industry events, and content development
- Manage product naming strategies and ensure consistent global messaging
- Perform comprehensive Voice of Customer research and competitive analysis
- Develop detailed buyer personas, customer journey maps, and market segmentation strategies
- Leverage data insights to guide product development and marketing strategies
- Conduct pricing analysis and support Customer Requirements Document (CRD) development
- Identify new applications, products, markets, and potential acquisition opportunities
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Business, or a related field
- 3+ years of experience in marketing, with a focus on category or vertical market development
- Must have experience within the following areas or adjacent industries:
- Construction & Building Materials
- Industrial Coatings & Chemicals
- Industrial Equipment & Fluid Handling
- Strong cross-functional collaboration and communication skills
- Analytical mindset with experience in data-driven decision-making
- Willingness to travel up to 25% (domestic and international)
- Experience in global B2B or industrial marketing
- Familiarity with fluid and material management equipment
- MBA or equivalent advanced degree
