Job Description
Advent Talent Group is seeking a candidate for a leading nonprofit organization in the Twin Cities is seeking a Events Specialist to support mission-driven initiatives through volunteer coordination and donor engagement events. This role is ideal for a relationship-builder with strong project management skills and a passion for creating meaningful experiences that drive community impact.
Overview:
Location: Minneapolis, MN (Hybrid Work Environment)
Compensation: $60,000–$65,000 annually
Schedule: Full-Time | Monday–Friday, 8:00 AM–5:00 PM (with occasional evenings and weekends as needed)
Employment Type: Direct Hire
Responsibilities:
- Cultivate and manage strategic relationships with corporate partners and community organizations to develop tailored engagement opportunities and strengthen collaboration.
- Plan, coordinate, and execute donor and volunteer events, ranging from intimate gatherings to large-scale activations, ensuring alignment with organizational goals and donor stewardship strategies.
- Oversee all event logistics, including venue selection, vendor coordination, registration, and on-site execution, delivering seamless and impactful experiences.
- Serve as a key liaison between volunteers, partners, and internal teams to ensure clear communication, smooth coordination, and a unified approach to community engagement.
- Represent the organization at outreach events and lead logistics for community-wide volunteer initiatives to enhance visibility and foster meaningful connections.
- Maintain accurate records and engagement data in CRM systems, track key metrics, and support post-event evaluations to measure success and inform continuous improvement.
- Develop and refine event planning processes, documentation, and best practices to enhance efficiency and elevate the overall experience for stakeholders.
Qualifications:
- 2–5 years of experience in volunteer coordination, event planning, or donor engagement (preferably in a nonprofit or mission-driven setting).
- Strong communication and organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
- A collaborative, proactive mindset and comfort working with diverse stakeholders.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office and CRM/database systems.
