Hours: Full-time | Monday to Friday, 7:00 AM - 4:00 PM
Responsibilities
- Financial Reporting and Analysis
- Prepare comprehensive financial statements and reports
- Generate detailed project metric reports
- Assist in preparing quarterly tax returns
- Support month-end financial closing activities?
- Job Costing and Financial Management
- Process and analyze job costs, including overhead and equipment costing
- Conduct thorough costs-to-complete analysis
- Identify and rectify discrepancies in job cost reviews
- Detect and resolve data inconsistencies
- ?Accounting Processes
- Support Controller in maintaining and managing general ledger
- Process and review weekly payroll
- Manage monthly union fringe benefit payments
- Provide backup support for accounts payable processes
- Ensure accurate payroll calculations and compliance
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting or related field (preferred)
- 1+ years of accounting experience, with a strong background in the construction industry or union payroll
- Proficiency in accounting software, with experience in Sage 100 a plus
- Solid understanding of GAAP (Generally Accepted Accounting Principles)
- Advanced problem-solving and analytical capabilities
- Exceptional attention to detail and excellent numerical aptitude
- Ability to manage multiple priorities and work efficiently under deadlines
- Strong communication skills with the ability to maintain confidentiality and build solid relationships
