Facilities Maintenance Specialist

Job Description
Overview:
- Location: On-site – Brooklyn Center, MN
- Pay Range: $26.45 – $28.50 per hour
- Schedule: Full-time, 40 hours/week | Monday–Friday, standard business hours
- Additional Info: Includes periodic on-call assignments
- Start Date: Immediate
- Duration: Through approximately August 30, 2025 (with potential for extension)
Responsibilities:
- Collaborate closely with the outgoing Director of Properties to gather documentation, systems access, vendor contacts, and other critical operational details.
- Assist in the onboarding and knowledge transfer to the incoming Director of Properties.
- Perform regular maintenance, janitorial duties, and inspections on camp facilities, equipment, and grounds.
- Ensure prompt response to property-related emergencies and daily safety checks of the site.
- Coordinate with vendors and staff to complete scheduled maintenance projects and seasonal upkeep.
- Support camp operations during the summer season with proactive property management.
Qualifications:
- 2-year degree or equivalent experience in a skilled trade (HVAC, electrical, plumbing, etc.) highly preferred.
- Minimum 3 years’ experience in property maintenance, facilities, or custodial roles; camp experience a plus.
- Must possess valid driver’s license and be willing to live on-site (housing provided).
- Strong communication, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
- Comfortable working independently outdoors in varied weather and lifting up to 50 lbs.
