THIS ROLE IS BASED IN MINNESOTA - ANY OUT OF STATE APPLICANTS WILL NOT BE CONSIDERED
Responsibilities:
- Oversee the setup of new grant accounts, budgets, and processes to ensure accurate tracking and compliance from the start.
- Regularly review grant expenditures to ensure they align with approved budgets and federal regulations.
- Prepare and submit financial reports and documentation as required by federal agencies, ensuring accuracy and timeliness.
- Stay current with federal grant regulations and guidelines to ensure ongoing compliance.
- Facilitate internal and external audits of grant-funded activities, providing necessary documentation and support to auditors.
- Manage the closeout process for completed grants, ensuring all financial and programmatic requirements are met.
- Serve as the primary point of contact for federal agencies and other external stakeholders regarding grant-related matters.
Qualifications:
- Minimum 3-5 years of experience in grant administration or accounting at the federal level
- Bachelor's degree in accounting, finance, business administration, or a related field OR at least related experience in grant administration
- Strong understanding of federal grant regulations, compliance requirements, and cost principles
- Proficiency in financial management and accounting software, such as QuickBooks and Excel.
- Excellent organizational, written, and verbal communication skills
- Experience with federal grant management systems and working with federal agencies
- Certified Grants Management Specialist (CGMS) or similar certification preferred
